This recipe is quick, flavorful, and perfect for dinner or a quick meal on the go. Dek Som Boon soybean paste adds a nice saltiness and deep umami flavor to the dish – you won’t need to add many other spices!
📝 Ingredients (for 2 servings):
1 tbsp Dek Som Boon soybean paste
200 g tofu (or chicken, beef, shrimp – optional)
1 carrot, cut into thin strips
1 bell pepper, sliced
100 g broccoli or green beans
1 small onion, chopped
2 garlic cloves, chopped
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp sesame oil (optional)
2 tbsp oil for frying
150 g rice noodles or cooked rice (for serving)
👨🍳 Preparation:
Prepare all the ingredients – chop the vegetables, drain the tofu and cut it into cubes.
Heat the oil in a wok or deep frying pan. Add the garlic and onion, fry until golden brown.
Add tofu or other protein of choice. Fry until lightly crispy.
Add vegetables (carrots, peppers, broccoli). Fry for 2-3 minutes so they stay crispy.
Stir in the soybean paste , soy sauce, and sugar. Stir until everything is evenly coated with the sauce.
If the mixture seems too dry, add 2–3 tablespoons of water or a little vegetable broth.
If desired, add a few drops of sesame oil for flavor.
Serve with boiled rice or rice noodles. Sprinkle with sesame seeds or chopped scallions.
