🥢 Recipe idea: Classic Tom Yum soup with shrimp
Ingredients:
1 l water or chicken broth
2–3 tbsp Thai Dancer Tom Yum paste
200 g cleaned shrimp
150 g champignon or oyster mushrooms, sliced
2–3 kaffir lime leaves (if available)
1 stalk lemongrass, crushed (for additional flavor, optional)
1–2 tsp fish sauce (to taste)
1 tsp sugar
1–2 tbsp lime juice
Chili pepper or chili oil (for those who like extra heat)
Fresh coriander for serving
Preparation:
Boil water or broth in a pot.
Add Tom Yum paste , lemongrass and lime leaves. Cook for 3-5 minutes until a strong aroma appears.
Add the mushrooms and cook for another 3 minutes.
Add the shrimp and cook for 2–3 minutes, until they turn pink and are cooked through.
Add fish sauce, sugar, and lime juice. Taste and adjust as needed until you reach the perfect balance of acidity, saltiness, and tanginess.
Serve hot, sprinkled with fresh coriander.
