 Cardamom is often called the "king of spices" because it is one of the most expensive spices in the world.
 Ground cardamom is commonly added to dough and pastries, while whole cardamom seeds/pods are used to add flavor to dishes by steeping the pods in liquid or sautéing them in oil.
