Spice mix for warming home-cooked meals 🍲
🌿 Our own carefully crafted spice blend, especially suitable for vegetable and legume stews and hearty soups. This spice will help transform simple ingredients into a rich, aromatic and warming meal.
🌶 Tomato flakes and sweet paprika add a light sweetness and color to the dish,
🌱 Leeks, chives, and celery bring out the natural flavor of vegetables and give stews a special depth.
🥘 Goes great with:
- For potatoes, carrots, turnips and roots
- Lentils, beans, chickpeas
- For tomato, onion and garlic based soups
- For roasted vegetables and country-style dishes
💡 Simply add this mixture to your food while cooking – on a pan or in a pot – and let it slowly simmer.
🥘 RECIPE: Cozy vegetable stew with legumes and our spice blend
Ingredients (for 4 servings):
1 carrot (sliced)
2 potatoes (diced)
1 onion (chopped)
2 garlic cloves (crushed)
1 small leek or celery stalk (sliced)
1 cup cooked lentils or beans
1 can (400g) chopped tomatoes
2 tsp. spice mix "For stews"
2 tbsp oil
500 ml vegetable broth or water
Salt and pepper – to taste
Fresh herbs for serving (optional)
🥄 Preparation:
Heat the oil in a pot, fry the onion and garlic until they become translucent.
Add carrots, potatoes, leeks or celery, fry for 5 minutes.
Pour in the "Stuffed" spice mixture, stir well.
Add the chopped tomatoes and broth. Bring to a boil.
Reduce heat, add cooked lentils or beans, and simmer for ~25 minutes until vegetables are soft.
Add more salt or pepper as needed.
Serve with bread or greens.
🌱 Tip:
Want a thicker stew? Blend some of the vegetables before the end and stir them back into the pot!
