Lee Kum Kee Hoisin Sauce is a fragrant, slightly spicy and rich sauce that is an integral part of Asian cuisine. It is ideal for marinating, grilling, stewing and vegetable dishes , giving them an intense, sweet-spicy aroma.


Particularly popular in Chinese and Vietnamese cuisine , hoisin sauce is sometimes called Chinese barbecue sauce because it goes great with meat, tofu, and vegetables, making dishes aromatic and delicious.


RECIPE

Hoisin chicken wok with vegetables

Ingredients:

  • 300 g chicken fillet, cut into pieces

  • 2 tablespoons Lee Kum Kee Hoisin sauce

  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce

  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil

  • 1 onion, thinly sliced

  • 1 bell pepper, cut into strips

  • 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped

  • 1 teaspoon ginger, finely grated

  • 1–2 tablespoons oil for frying

Preparation:

  • Heat a wok or large frying pan with oil.

  • Add garlic and ginger, fry for 30 seconds until aromatic.

  • Add the chicken pieces and fry until they turn golden brown.

  • Add onions and peppers, stir for 2–3 minutes.

  • Add Hoisin sauce, soy sauce and sesame oil, mix well and heat for another 1–2 minutes.

  • Serve hot with rice or noodles.
