🥒 Spice mix for pickling and pickling cucumbers
Our own blended, unique and tested blend , created specifically for pickling and pickling cucumbers . Each ingredient is chosen with a purpose – to make your cucumbers crispy, aromatic and really tasty !
🌿 Coriander seeds, cumin and allspice – give a classic, full flavor
🌶 Horseradish root, juniper berries and mustard seeds – help cucumbers stay firm and crispy
✨ Other herbs – added in small amounts to enhance flavor nuances without overdoing it
🥕 Try it with other garden produce – zucchini, beans, carrots or even beets!
This mixture will act as a secret chef's touch in your canning cabinet.📏 1 small packet (20 g) is designed for 1 liter of marinade . Easy, convenient and always delicious.
🥒 Classic pickle recipe with our spice blend
Ingredients (for 1 liter jar):
~600–700 g of smaller, firm cucumbers
20 g spice mix (1 packet)
2–3 dill sprigs (optional)
a couple of garlic cloves (optional)
water – 500 ml
vinegar (9%) – 250 ml
sugar – 2 tablespoons
salt – 1 tablespoon (with a small heap)
Preparation:
Wash the cucumbers and soak them in cold water for a couple of hours - this will help them stay crisp.
In a saucepan, bring water to a boil with salt, sugar, vinegar, and spice mixture . Boil for a few minutes until everything is dissolved.
Pack the cucumbers tightly in a jar, add dill and garlic (if desired).
Pour over the hot marinade so that everything is covered.
Cover and leave upside down on the lid for 5–10 minutes. Then cool and store in a cool place.
✨ Tip: The flavor develops best after 1–2 weeks. And yes – this mixture also works for zucchini or tomatoes!
