Are you ready to fall in love with oriental flavors?🥘 Tandoori chicken recipe (oven or grill)
Ingredients (for 2–3 servings):
500 g boneless chicken thighs or chicken fillets
3 tablespoons Greek yogurt or cottage cheese cream
1 tablespoon Tandoori Masala spice mix
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon grated ginger
1 teaspoon finely chopped garlic
Salt to taste
1 tablespoon of oil
Preparation:
Prepare the marinade: In a bowl, mix yogurt, Tandori Masala, lemon juice, ginger, garlic, oil, and salt.
Marinate the chicken: Add the chicken pieces and mix well. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2-4 hours (even better, overnight).
Baking:
In the oven: Preheat the oven to 200 °C. Place the chicken on a rack or in a pan with baking paper and bake for ~25–30 minutes, until the pieces are juicy and lightly browned.
Grill: Grill over medium heat until chicken is cooked through and has a slightly crispy top.
Serve with rice, naan bread or fresh salad.

🥗 Tandoori tofu (oven or pan-fried) - for vegetarians
Ingredients (for 2 servings):
250–300 g firm tofu
3 tablespoons Greek yogurt (or plant-based alternative – unsweetened soy yogurt)
1 tablespoon Tandoori Masala
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon grated ginger, or a piece of ginger
1 teaspoon minced garlic, try our garlic granules!
Salt to taste
1 tablespoon of oil
Preparation:
Tofu preparation:
Drain the tofu and cut into ~1 cm thick slices or cubes. To make the tofu even crispier, you can pre-press it with paper towels and place a weight (such as a book) on it for 10–15 minutes.Marinating:
Mix the yogurt with the Tandori Masala, lemon juice, ginger, garlic, salt and oil. Add the tofu and toss well to coat all the pieces. Allow to marinate for at least 1-2 hours (or overnight).Baking:
In the oven: Bake in a preheated oven at 200 °C for ~20–25 minutes, turning the pieces halfway through.
In a pan: Fry the tofu pieces in a heated pan with a small amount of oil until golden and crispy.
Serve with:
rice or couscous
fresh vegetables or crisp leafy salads
mint yogurt sauce or mango chutney
