🥩 Grilled Montreal steak
Ingredients (for 2 servings):
2 beef steaks (ribeye, entrecôte or rump steak, each ~250–300 g)
2 teaspoons Montreal spice blend
1 tablespoon olive oil
Preparation:
Prepare the meat: Remove the steaks from the refrigerator at least 30 minutes before cooking to allow them to come to room temperature.
Marinate: Rub both sides of the steaks with olive oil and sprinkle with Montreal mixture. Leave for ~15–30 minutes to allow the flavors to blend.
Baking:
Grill: Cook on a hot grill for ~3–5 minutes on each side, depending on desired doneness.
On a pan: Cook on a heated cast iron or grill pan until the meat is browned and the inside is done to your preference (rare/medium/well done).
Resting: After cooking, let the steaks rest for 5–7 minutes, covered with foil – so that the juices distribute evenly.
Serve: With grilled vegetables, baked potatoes, or a side of crunchy salad.

Marinate the chicken pieces: Pour the marinade over, mix, and leave in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours (even better – overnight).

Grill: Grill over medium heat, turning occasionally, until the meat is cooked through and has a nice browned surface.
