🍲 Aromatic spice mix for real Hungarian goulash

🍽️ RECIPES

1. Classic Hungarian Goulash (serves 4)

Ingredients:

  • 600 g beef cubes

  • 1 large onion, chopped

  • 2 tablespoons goulash spice mix

  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste or tomato sauce

  • 2–3 tablespoons of oil

  • 2 carrots, sliced

  • 2 potatoes, diced (optional)

  • 500–700 ml of broth

Preparation:

  • Heat the oil in a pot and fry the onion until golden.

  • Add the meat and fry until it turns brown.

  • Stir in the tomato paste and goulash spice mixture.

  • Add broth, carrots (and potatoes, if using).

  • Simmer over low heat for 1.5–2 hours until the meat is tender and the sauce thickens.

  • Serve with mashed potatoes, pasta, or fresh rosemary bread.


RECIPE:

Quick minced meat pan with goulash spice mix

Ingredients:

  • 500 g minced meat (pork, beef or mixed)

  • 1 onion, chopped

  • 1 tablespoon goulash spice mix

  • 200 ml tomato sauce

  • 100 ml cream or sour cream (optional)

  • 1 tablespoon of oil

  • For serving: rice, pasta or mashed potatoes

Preparation:

  • Heat the oil in a pan and fry the onion.

  • Add the minced meat mixture and fry until the meat breaks up and turns golden.

  • Stir in the spice mixture and tomato sauce.

  • Add cream (if you want a creamier version).

  • Sauté for 5–7 minutes.

  • Serve with your favorite toppings — a treat ready in 15 minutes!
